Asian Games gold medal winner Rahi Sarnobat triumphed over Manu Bhaker and Chinki Yadav in the 25m pistol event during the Indian national shooting trials at the Dr. Karni Singh shooting range in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Apart from the three Tokyo-bound shooters, some of the top names in the country, like Annu Raj Singh and Anisa Sayyed also competed in the event.

Sarnobat hit 36 out of 50 in the finals to outperform Madhya Pradesh's Yadav who managed to get 34. The Maharashtra-born shooter was in sublime form as she shot two perfect 5's and three series of 4's.

Bhaker topped the qualifiers with a score of 582, but her form dipped in the finals and had to settle for a third-place finish with a score of 27.

In shotgun, overnight leaders Lakshay Sheoran and Rajeshwari Kumari continued their rich vein of form and won the men's and women's T1 Trap competition respectively.

Sheoran defeated Adhiraj Rathore 46-42 in the finals, while Kynan Chenia, who had finished first in qualifiers with a solid 121, could manage only a fourth spot with 29 points, behind Air India's Zoravar Singh Sandhu.

Meanwhile, Kumari reigned supreme in the women's category by topping not only the qualifiers but also the final round scoring 110 and 43 respectively. Second-placed Shreyashi Singh could gather only 36.

In the Junior T1 Trap trials, Shapath Bharadwaj of Uttarakhand won the men's competition while Delhi's Kirti Gupta triumphed in the women's event.

Previously, Haryana shooter Nischal edged past Tejaswini Sawant to win the T2 women's 50m rifle 3 position trials. While fellow Tokyo-bound shooter Anjum Moudgil came third.
